Icon5 Burning Smell, No Headlights HELP

'97 Ranger

I was driving in town at night with the headlights on when I smelt a burning hot smell and the headlights stopped working. The headlights will not turn on at all, the high beams work only when held on not when tuned on. Signal lights, hazards, and tail lights still work as normal. I think it was the fuse but I am not sure if anyone has another solution I could try it would be most appreciated.

Check fuses 4 and 8 (10 amp) in the dash IP fuse block. If fuses are good I'd suspect the multifunction switch.
