Ford quick connect fittings on gas tank

Im trying to drop my gas tank and I have run into a problem that has me stumped. The 2 (return?) fuel lines have what I believe are called ford quick connect fittings and I have no idea how to disconnect them. one has a green clip and the other red. Is there a special tool that I need? or is there son trick...? This is an 03 of that makes a difference. If anyone has any pictures of this process that would also be helpful.

The special tool is a called Fuel Line pliers. or something like that.

you can use the flat head, but when you do it, don't pry too much, you don't want to mess up the housing.
