So I was looking at my truck today and noticed this hose was disconnected from the body lift. Heres a couple pics, it would be great if someone knew what it was. The truck runs fine no codes or anything.

Look on the side of the intake manifold I think there is a hose that is suppose to connect the two. I will check tomorrow though.

Thats nowhere near the intake manifold, its over near the ABS braking thing near the battery.
|
EVAP vent/purge hose. i assume your engine light is on.
mine did the same thing, i bent the pipe a little and used a hose clamp to secure it. |
must be a 04 thing i have nothing like that on my 03
|
i had it too you should be able to hear it leaking -- i just got a bigger hose well longer and made it work cool blue too lol
|
its an 04+ thing, my truck doesnt have it but I have seen some 04s with it.
and Mark is right, its Evap for the fuel canister thing. |
I have one on my 2000 OHV, did they just not use them 01-03 on the SOHC?
|
if they have them its mounted different, ill take a look again tonight.
now that i think about it, i think its part of the vaccum line for the fuel pump? |
No engine light is on or anything, I'll get a longer hose to fix anyway.

I was thinking today and I had a CEL pop up about a week ago that was for the EVAP or gas cap and I thought it was my gas cap, I bet it was this. I fixed it tonight so all should be well again.
