Fuel Pressure Test Procedure

Hello out there....

I was wondering if anyone had an insight for me when it comes to checking fuel pressure.

I have read through the Haynes manual procedure a few times. It says to relieve the fuel pressure as per its instructions as part of the steps of the pressure check.

It says to disconnect the fuel inertia switch, crank the engine for 10-20 seconds with the starter and the pressure is relieved. Does this mean start the engine too? Im a little confused.

At this point is says to connect the pressure gauge to the Shrader valve, turn the ignition switch to the on position, pressure should hold steady after a second or two if everything is okay.

The last step says, relieve the fuel system pressure once testing is done. Wait a minute, didnt I just do that? How do I do it again, if the fuel inertia is already disconnected from before?

Any help is appreciated! All this engine stuff is new to me.

Thanks!
