Fuse Block
 

I had just got my CB yesterday and I'm wiring it today. I was going to wire it up to the fuse block and then just turn it on and off manualy. Do i put the positive or the negative into the back of the fuse block and if the positive then just ground the negative correct?

Run the positive to the fuse block, and the negative to ground. I think you might have to bring a new power wire to the fuse block for the cb. If it seems like too much work to go through the fuse block you can just run the power straight from the battery. If you do that make sure to put the fuse within a foot of the battery.. hope this helps somewhat

Or you could just tap the cig lighters power feed. Just make sure to install an inline fuse (3-5 amp max) between it and the CB. Run the black wire to ground.

I ran my positive to my fuse box and my neg(ground) to a screw in the side wall next to the e-brake behind the plastic trim with an inline fuse that came with the CB.

I just ran both my positive and negative to the battery, works fine for me.

I would wire it to a "switched" 12V source, so you don't leave it on accidently, and run your battery dead.
