Headlight Switch Illumination

Anyone know how to change this bulb? Is it the same bulb that lights up the dimmer switch as well?

That factory bulb is crap....they dont last. Dealer probably is the only place to get it. Most everyone here replaces it with a LED bulb. Dont think dimmer lights up.

If you dont do it yourself and dont mind taking it into the dealer, then it is free under warrenty. WHen i had mine in last year my light was burnt out. They replaced it free under warrenty. Of course dealers suck, so that would be a last resort/free way

You can't buy just the bulb. You have to buy the entire headlight switch for $35. I bought the stuff for an LED conversion for about $15, but haven't had a chance to install it yet.

Seriously ?!?!?!? You got lucky !!!!!! I have yet to find anyone that got just the bulb. I even went as far as calling Ford because no dealer would sell me the bulb. The response I got from Ford was "We don't sell just the bulb. It does not have its own part number, and comes packaged with the headlight switch."

Can you get me a bulb?????

Are you talking about the switch that turns on the head lights?

Ask them if they can get one for a 99, they may not list the part for later years. I have 99 and was able to buy one.

Ill call the local parts dealer and see if i can get them, if i can ill do like 2 or something for you guys.

IMHO led mod is better

My first one lasted <6 monthes... they replaced the switch.
In doing so they broke my aftermarket alarm... spend 4 hours waiting on them
to fix it... they couldnt so they paid my installer 190$ to fix it :)
all I lost was 8 hours of my time :(
