gauges.
its in a 2000 xlt, well i did leds in the cluster and now im havin trouble with the needles ugh. :puppy_dog
i took pics and set them like they were.,,, now the tach like sticks? and the oil preassure goes past high... umm any type of advice u could offer? |
the needles that stick are probably pushed in too far...i had the same problem, just pull them out a little
the needles being off means that they were just put on in a different position.....even if you took pictures, the gauge may have moved a little bit |
Pull the tach needle out a little bit. Probably pushed too far down into the cluster, causing it to stick.
Pull the oil pressure needle while truck is running and gauges are plugged in w/o the clear face, then put the needle in the correct spot. Just barely put it on to get it in the right position, and if it's correct, push down some more and call it good. |
sorry to change the thread but i dont wanna start a new thread just on this..
i took apart my dash to paint my cluster lights blue but i got stuck at the needles, i tried pullin them off but theyre on there good and dont wanna break them. am i supposed to just pull them off or is there some sore of special way? thanks, scott |
Their is a trick for the newer gauge clusters. I think Jp7 did a wright up on it.
