H.I.D question
 

Hey guys i recently bought an H.I.D. kit for my 06. Somthing i didn't take into consideration before i bought them was, the day lighters. So my whuestion is. Having the lights on that much, is that gonna be bad for the H.I.D.? Or will it be fine just like a regular light bulb? Thanks for reading guys.

Depending on the kit you bought the hids will either not fire at all or strobe unless you turn your headlights on.

What would aux lights have anything to do with headlight HID's performance?

The other way I took the question: if there was an issue with HID's being on in the headlights, why would so many people be running them in their headlights without any issues? Point is, there's no issues from constant use of the HID kit. Runs cooler than halogen anyway. Use 'em just like your halogen headlights.

I have been running the same HID kit for over 3 years now with zero issues. Still my favorite mod I have done to my truck...

i have run hids in my truck for 2 years now with zero problems. they are on full power for daytime running lights and when all other lights are on.

Oh i didnt see that they are for aux lights.. geese you guys dont even have drl's big fail

Thanks guys thats all i needed, i just didnt get that info, from the sales rep, i didnt want to burn them

it doesnt say anywhere in the first post that these hids are for auxilary lighting. i am using my hids in my factory headlights with my drl's with no problems

Most HIDs, or at least any that are worth the money, will have a lifetime warranty with them. The bulbs have no filament which means nothing to burn out. My bulbs have lifetime warranties.

Well shane seemed to think he was talking about kc daylighters then im assuming, my original comment would have made sense if he was canadian.

Your hids must have a built in drl module then, standard kits will not work unless the switch is on

The OP is horribly worded. I ran off the two directions I got from the poorly writen OP. 1: asking if running HID's(in headlights) is bad for the HID's. 2: if running HID's and KC Daylighters at the same time is bad.

He made no mention of converting Daylighters to HID's. Homeboy has to help us help him! Make questions clear!
