Have a question dealing with radios???

I have a 2006 4cyl ranger and the guy I bought it off of spilt something in the radio. I have a stock 1997 Jeep Wrangler radio and was just seeing if its possible or not to hard to interchange the Wranglers radio with my rangers radio??

If the dimensions are the same and the electrical plug is the same then it should fit but changes are both are different and will require rework.

Easier to get a replacement, either a JY unit or aftermarket.
Some of the aftermarket units are inexpensive and with adapters will fit and work out far better.

The plugs will not be the same. Some wiring changes and it will work. But why? The installed radio may look like crap and out of place. Why not just get another ford radio or aftermarket?

Aftermarket FTW! Look on Crutchfield.com they give wiring harnesses free with the stereo.
