Hella Q's?

hey i just bought a pair of Hella 500's, got them on sale for 40$ so it was a deal i think. so i also saw the kc 100w chrome there but they were 119$ and i doint want chrome i wanted a stainless and i thought they were overpriced dummit was cheeper.
Anyways i put them on and they are extreamly bright and was getting flashed down the road so i lowered them so i could drive with them. but i was wondering if i could relpace the H3 55w bulb with a H3 100w replacement bulb that i saw and use for just dark roads? and also does Hella make rock gaurds??

thanx ill get some pics soon

You should never be driving with those lights on around traffic... it's very dangerous, there is a reason why they were flashing you, becuase they couldn't see anyhting.

long range lights have the same effect on people coming at you as high beams. They are off road use only according to the DOT.

ya i know thats why i got them instead of the kc's. why not,

did u notice much of a diffrence in the light with the 100w H3 bulbs in it. and did u use the hella bulbs or an aftermarket one?

they are really bright and they shoot out really far especially on a dark highway i noticed but id like to get some more distance on them.

thanx.

and also do they have fancy rock gaurds for them? so i dont have to use that cover all the time?

no they wont melt, and you shouldnt need to upgrade the bulbs in there. with the lens you have, those lights should ONLY be on with your high beams.
