HELP!! How long before 2003 supercab Computer gets reading again!!!

I went to get my emissions done today to find out that it couldn't be tested due to the fact that there were 2 blown fuses so the computer wasn't getting all of the necessary readings. I replaced the fuses and the guys at the emissions station said that I could take up to 50 miles before the trucks computer starts reading everything again. Another guy there said to look it up on to see if there was a easier and quicker way, like driving the truck for 65 mph for ten minutes straight to get all the readings quicker. Anybody know anything about this?? I would like to get the emissions done today so I can go to the DMV tomorrow and get the permanent registration and plates

i work at a dealer and have done a lot of emission runs...there is no set distance until they reset...ive seen it take as little as 5 miles to well over 200 for them to reset

Assuming the computer will read the data when you go into open loop this might be the best course of action...

1. Disconnect battery
2. Tap your brakes while battery is disconnected to get all the power out of the computer
3. Reconnect battery.
4. Take truck onto highway for a 10-15 minute 65 mph drive(assuming thats legal).

That should take the computer from closed loop to open loop where it would have to get all the senser data readings.

UPDATE

I drove the car for maybe not even 3 or 4 miles and it passed! Lucky if it was 3 miles, no more than 4 and everything was back to normal. Thanks anyways guys
