To the right of the tow hooks facing truck, do those come off, on on right of right tow hook and one on left of left tow hook

You got the outside ones done.....now it's time to get to the inside 2 nuts. They are inset a little bit....kind of countersunk. Then the bumper will come off.

What do you mean you can't get 'em? I can get 'em and I'm bodylifted with a hitch in the way!

Use a deep socket or a shorty with an extention to reach the nut. You don't have to unscrew them all the way, just barely to still allow a firm grip on the frame, yet loose enough so you can move the bumper.

Circled areas...inside bolts would be between the frame rail and the towhook.

There's one above each tow hook. Take off those and then if you're laying underneath the truck look at the ones that are by the fog lights.

Well it got freakin dark on me! I got it adjusted side to side, no hope for the vertical positioning. That little hump in my bumper is a factory thing I think. U can see where the actual metal bumper underneath is humped right there. Ill get pics up tomorrow of it at work. I don't see any kind of meal bendage or anything or any toolmarks for an attempt to fix it; that's why I think its a factory built issue. May try certifit or something to get that bumper and just put my cover over it. I may mess with it again one weekend during the day!

You still goin off on the bumper cover how it has bows under the grille?

Nothings gonna fix it completely. It's a nature of this particular style bumper and one similar to it. It sucks. I'd pull the bumper completely off the truck, or at least pull the grille off and see if you can run some screws through the cover on the backside where it wraps around the metal bumper and try tightening that bulge down. Someday I'll have a fix-it thread up to cure this. Just gotta get that Orange '08 down here to play.

yeah it aggrevates me. wouldnt be so bad if it was centered. i may take it to my body man, have him heat it and hit it a few time right there tho get it down. maybe that will work. but i dont want it to wrinkle the bumper somewhere else by doing this. yeah, i forgot Marie's is the same way. i had the most trouble trying to line up my bumper nice and straight. i got the side to side issue fixed, but couldnt really get the vertical position fixed. i think its in the same exact place vertically taht it was. i may mess with it some more tnow that i know where the dnag bolts are...lol thanks again shane. i would have never seen that recessed bolt.

heres the pics of the backside of the bumper

i can probably only take like a 1/4" out of the hump, but that metal needs to be heated and bent back down

I'd take that push pin out, then see if you can coax it into place. If possible, coax it into place, and have Sara run a screw through where the christmas tree pin used to be. Make sense? Or is the actual bumper structure a little messed up and tweaked out?

It's been almost a year since I've seen the backside of on of those 06+ bumpers...so that's what it looks like! lol.

the actual bumper structure is tweaked. i know there is a gap between the metal and plastic there. but even if i take that gap out, the bump will still be there b/c the metal is bent it looks like. i think it was factory done

'custom'. lol.

Wonder how much one of those bumper structures are? Pulling the cover off and beating it with a hammer may help, but how much it will help, idk.
