Help, Oil filter won't screw

Ive changed my oil a bunch and have never had this happen. The oil filter screws on about 2 rotations, then gets really hard to turn. Thought it was the wrong size, but it is XG2
I struggled to get the filter onto the threads for a few minutes before I was only able to screw it on 2 rotations.
Did I strip the threads? should I go grab another filter.

Thank You!

Well check the threads and if they are fine, try another filter.

I'd just grab another filter. Does your old one thread back on okay?
