I need a crash course on how to properly use a test light.....

I got my test light... And I want to know how you use it to find a hot wire.

or as my teacher would call it "TET LIGHT!!!" haha crazy ****


put the clip on ground and start probing, the light will light up when you find it

first of all i would never ever use a test light on a newer vehicle EVER!!!! Especially with newer ECM's BCM's ignition harnesses etc. If that thing draws more power than any of those components can handle hope ya got an extra 400+ dollars laying around to replace a computer. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use a digital multimeter (DMM) when measuring electronics in a car!!!!
