Help: Removing HID Kits

Hey, So a while ago I had HIDs installed in my headlights and foglights. Not overly thrilled with them so I've got all new Halogen bulbs ready to be installed, but I can't get ahold of the guy who installed my HIDs (vacation, sick, don't know?)...
But I was wondering if maybe I could tackle this project myself with not a great deal of wiring knowledge or tools? (EDIT: when I mean I don't have tools, I would mean wiring/electrical specific.. like.. a soldering kit. I have screwdrivers, drills, sockets etc)

I've tried reading through Shane's install thread to sort of reverse engineer the directions but his kit is maybe wired slightly different and is a different brand so its not a perfect match... I will try to get some photos on here as a reference so I can maybe ask people things like.... "what do I do with this wire".

Is it pretty much as simple as disconnecting the kits from the battery, taking out the bulbs, disconnecting the ballasts from the stock light harness, and just putting the stock bulbs back in with the vehicles harness? Or will there be wires that have been relocated and pulled blah blah blah?? Only other thing I can think of is that he disabled the daytime running lights by running the wire to the parking lights or something i think??

Thanks for any help.. it would be great if I could do this myself, save me a few dollars

It should be pretty self explanatory, once you get into it. You have wires that run from the bulbs to the Ballasts and then one that runs to the High low box that comes with the HID kit(If you have a hi/low kit) 2 wire's that hook to the battery, then pull stuff out and throw your Halogens back in... Its pretty straight forward.

thanks, I had a feeling it would be fairly straight forward.
