help with spark plugs

2001 ranger 4x4, 4.0 auto 95,000 miles manual says agsf34fp gap052-054 cannot find what plugs and gap to use

i belive its a .45 gap on my dads 4.0, but if you got to an auto parts store they should b able to hook you up, if you don't get an answer, when i get home i will give you the part number for the auto-light platinum spark plugs since they should be the same ones my dad uses

That's a Motorcraft part number. Those are good sparkplugs. Autolite brand is similar.

.052-.056" gap is about standard on most all modern high discharge electronic ignition systems.

Look at the sticker either on the underside of the hood or on the header panel in front of the radiator. It should have the plug gap printed on it.

My sticker says go .062 to .068 but ford and parts house sware its wrong and should be 054 ! What the heck? 2004 4.0L --- What to do ?

So all i was able to find is 0.60's was a dealer number to help plugs last 100,000 miles and 0.54 is recommened by ford and all auto parts stores? My plus came out of the block at 0.070 give or take. Its lost the power a little each year i've had it. I got 3 done tonight going to do other 3 tomorrow. One on the drivers side wont break loose. Have to try tapping on ratchet or somehting. All the fords i've ever owned have had plug gaps in the 0.050's
Strange I called the ford dealer and they swear they've never heard of a gap 62 to 68 like my decal states.
