HID Hi/Low Question
I have DDM HID 35w 6000K non-high/low in my headlights and fogs. My dad just traded in his 2003 F-150 with the DDM HID 35w 6000K hi/low bulbs, so I grabbed them off his truck and put them in mine before he traded them in.
The DDM hi/low kit works by re-positioning the bulb so it is closer to the truck. When I turn on the high beam, the light output is horrible, it is more spread out and does not shine any further IMO.
Has anyone else experienced this with an HID kit? If I get projectors will the high beams work better by just re-positioning the bulb?
Not really sure how HID high beams work in the first place, or if re-positioning the bulb is a common method. I know stock bulb are dual filament, but im a noob to HID.
Thanks guys.

Alright, I mean I use my 150 w KCs when I need high beams anyways. I might thro2 in the old HIDs (non high beam) to see if there is any beam pattern difference. The high/low HIDs are actually a lot longer than the low only lights.

I've had good luck with their single beam but when I had my bronco, the hi/low died on me twice within the 4 months. the first time i had them warrantied and the 2nd time I just didn't bother getting them replaced.

Does anyone make an HID with an actual brighter high beam? I thought I remembered searching and seeing someone who had an HID with an added bulb (halogen probably, not another HID).
