Nope, it would be the light scatter they are putting out...anytime you put an HID "kit" into a halogen housing you WILL shoot light all over the place....it's just the design of the halogen housing.... HID's should have a perfect cutoff and even spread.

I just posted these pics in another thread, but it looks like they might belong here also....These pics show an hid "system" not just a "kit" installed in a halogen housing.

EDIT: Links from a different "non-changing" spot:
Pic #1
Pic #2. A comparison between an hid "Kit" in a halogen housing and a retrofitted oem "system"....It's about half way down the screen.

This is how hid "systems" look (non-glaring)....and now hopefully everyone will see why you should never put hid "kits" into a halogen housing (not to mention it's not DOT approved).

i also talked to the inspection station and they said that they also had no law about it they just had to match the scale of height in there inspection bay. also everyone siad the light color didnt matter as long as they are not flashing in a strobe pattern they are legal.

so i have talked to everyone there is to ask before i bougt and have had no trouble maby it is more strict near u but if u dont want them dont get them but ill never have a car without them.

thats all i have to say u can say what ever u want :)
it's ILLEGAL and it's the fact that you have complete DISREGARD for other's safety. The glare you put off is not only distracting for oncoming traffic and the people in front of you, but it's a danger for them as well. The police in your area (or the person/people you've talked to) are uninformed. It doesn't matter if the police chief has it, it does not mean it's legal.

And you're right, you have it and you love it and we can't change your opinions on them. But your lack of regards for other's safety AND your pompous, arrogant "i have a brighter lights than others and I love it when people are pissed at my lights" is just ridiculous.

I got 12k in Diamond Cut clear headlights....No lack of light, Nicks seen them, ive had 2 state inspections with them in and have had no issues reguarding laws. The blue lights (Piaa, Eurolight etc) are illeagle but they allow the upgrade kit for HID. Thats New Hampshire Motor Vehicle laws anyhow.

Ive had mine on for a while and gotten the high beams a handful of times, maybe 5 times, maybe mine just arnt as bright? There purple (like a black light). Im on the FD so i mean if they were an issue theyde come out immeditly!! So far i havnt had any concerns or people high beaming me enough to think there a threat to others well being/safety
