How about trying lubricating the other side of the door… the lock.
Some say to spray the lock insides with WD-40, I used White Lithium Grease Spray, stuck the nozzle in the open part and sprayed, sprayed a little around the outer parts too, WORKED !
I can now walk away from the truck without looking back to see if the outside light or the ding’r is on.
luck

If you use White Grease wait till it dries and then wipe some off the outside or at least where you might hit it…
Luck,
p.s. You can think 99offroadrngr,, he told me about it.

The problem is probably the switch in the latch. If you pull your door cover off and reach in there you will feel it. It has wires going to it its like a L shaped thing and if you turn it to one direction (i forget which way) it will pop like you broke it but its not. Just pull it out and clean it.

use PB blaster and hose them down...heres a trick...start the truck and be outside with the windows down and all the doors closed...open the doors one at a time, the door that does not cause the door ajar warning to beep is the door with the faulty latch, that will help you narrow your focus
