I got another cb the other day and after searching the forums for a lil while and I noticed that most of the ones installed are in an extended cab through a rubber gromet in the floor. Are those gromets on the standard cabs too?

Yep, if you go under the truck you should be able to see them. You could also drill a hole in the floor and install your own grommet.
