Pull the head unit and look at the 20-pin connector of the radio harness. Check to see if you have a gray/black going to pin #9. If it has one, the SSV should work. If not, you will need to add it. Tee into the GY/BK at the instrument cluster or GEM (assuming the Sports have one) and extend a wire to pin #9 at the 20-pin radio connector and it should work.
Note: this only works for head units that display something like SPEED VOL when the volume **** is held depressed for 5+ seconds.

Because the CD6 that I have I believe came from an F series truck (dont know which one) and the speed vol thing comes up when I hold power, but even on 7 it doesn't change with my speed. And if I do need to tee into the gray/black wire from the instrument panel or GEM, is it easy to get to or am I going to have to tear apart my whole dash?
