Not sure if this was covered, but I was fiddling around today, trying to get a few things corrected, preparing for the next phases of whatever it is exactly I'm trying to accomplish, and the stupid little dinger was just really rubbing me the wrong way today, so. in case anyone wants to remove it, here was how i did it.

I don't know what this little box is, and didn't feel the need to find out, but i could feel the vibrations from the speaker as it would chime, so.. i just assumed that's where it was, anyway, its inside here,

Behind the radio bezel, i think 2 screws released it, it's a clam shell design with 2 clips to open it up, the circuit board just pops up with a little pressure

The little surface mount piezo speaker is the round greyish thing attached by 2 pins on the backside.

I clamped the speaker in my desk vise to hold the board/speaker steady and heated up one peg until the solder flowed and wiggled it as high as i could and quickly moved to the other leg and it released the speaker from the board.

Plugged it back in, everything is still working, and now no more annoying chime.

Hope it helps.
