How do I shorten the length of a "Line of Fire"?

I want to buy it off of Billy down the street, but we put it up to my tailgate and its about 4 inches to long. Do you know if I could just chop off the one side or both sides? The only thing is, if I do both sides, would it be pretty easy to re attach the wire connector back to the leds? If I do the one side, I'll loose 3 leds.

Thanks a bunch.

Matt

Won't work, as you will mess up the lens and circuit board. You could either make your own, use an EL strip instead of LED's, or do the same thing I did until they make a flareside fire strip. http://silvertank.batcave.net/FireStrip.html
