How do you wire up your cb?

I had the idea to go on and hook up my cb tonight. Tested it first to make sure the fuse was still good, which it was and attached the cb to the pass side of the cup holder with velco. On my last truck I put a spade connector and had it stuck in a key on. Now on this truck noticed a couple of things. 1 the new haynes manual SUCKS for my model, on my 93 it was a bible to me. 2 no empty fuse slots.
So i want to know do you have it power on all the time or key on? Splice the radio wire?
Couple of points i do want to say, i dont have the tool to remove the radio. I am not that good with electrical. I did add a 12 volt source to the bed and had it going to the distrubution box but dont really want it to be power on all the time just in case i forget about it.

Next is to get a antenna.

I wraped my cb power wire around the fuse for the aux cigarett lighter. hasn't caused a problem.

edit: basically whether the truck is on or off, i can turn the cb on or off

I took my positive wire and sedared (sp) it to a fuse and pluged it into the fuse pannel for a key on only power source.
Then i took the ground wire and grounded it.
looks like you cant do that tho...

Hooked it up to my amp, and mounted the CB behind my Center Console. I made sure It was on the power wire though, not on the Remote Turn-on.

u dont need a tool to remove the radio just take off the whole radio bezel and the radio will come out with it, and than i just tapped the radio power and ground so its only on when the key is on. That has worked fine for me so far.
