Cab Light wont turn off

My cab light does not want to turn off. I have to take the bulb out, so it will turn off. Will take the keys out, and shut the door, and the inside light stays on. Even while driving, they stay on. Any ideas why?

Did you try the dimmer? If you turn it all the way up it will click and turn on the dome light. No I'm not trying to be a smartass.

Trust me i've considered that, and that was not the case.

Ok just checking. You wouldn't believe how many people didn't know that.

Search on "door ajar", Juan.

You can even google search "Ford door ajar" and get lots of hits.

Basically, the switch (in the door latch) needs sprayed well with a lubricant, or replaced.

Here's a pretty good link: http://www.offroadrangers.com/forum/...ad.php?t=19469
