Diffrence In Tail Lights

Is there anything diffrent with the tail lights other than some years have the brake/turn and other have the two seperate? Because the person selling them on eBay say they are for a 01-05. I just dont want to buy them and they not fit. i dont think there is anything diffrent other than the bulb combanations.

thanks

Although those already have the bulb installed with pigtails so you can make them work on a 2 bulb set up as well. And the way those are designed I bet if you could get em apart you could easily color match them to the truck.

Just like the headlight mod only for the taillights.

Sorry Zach I completely missed that last line. You catch me on this stuff too much. At least we were saying the same thing and not handing out conflicting info. That always racks my brain.

I think what I am looking for will work, but want to make sure.

Saw a Yellow ranger (my body style) the other day that had black tail lights that looked like:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-01...spagenameZWDVW

I just want to make sure those will fit in a 2002. it looks like it only has the 2 light set up with a reflector on the bottom. I am not sure if those are the ones i saw, but they looked alot better than mine. Dont get me wrong, my look good, I like them, but now that i have the black headlights and corners, I dont want a silver border around the lights.

Anyways, if someone can give a me a positive Yes or No, I would appreciate it.

(Those lights in the EBay link on a 2002 XLT)

ok look at the bottom left pic of the back of it

this is goofy but the center red part has TWO spots for a light socket. now that means there is 3 holes. so YES they will work on your application. BUT you only have 2 bulb soooo you could go to like napa and get a standard Ford socket, 2 of them and tap into the brake/turn light and use it like 2 bulbs doing to same thing to "plug" the hole...so like have one eash side...(1) reverse, (2) brake/turn get it?

Yeah, I saw that. I plan just to keep the tape over the hole that it comes shipped with. or get a dumy socket froma junk yard. I have no desire to cut into my wiring.

I just wanted to make sure that it would bolt up without any problems.
