OBD I software and connectors for Palm or laptop

Hello,

I am looking at purchasing an 86 Ford Ranger and I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction to obtaing OBD I software for Ford for a PDA or Laptop and connector cables.

Getting a good deal on the vehicle but need to resolve what I suspect may be an electronic fuel pump issue.

Thanks so much!

Try one of the tools from http://www.iequus.com/ . I have one of their tools that reads OBD I, 2, & CANBUS. You can pull and store the codes in the tool and then take it to a pc and use their software. You don't have to have the tool to look up the codes, it just makes things easier. If you have any questions about it, I can get better answers once I get home.
