fuel pump questions

So I believe my fuel pump is bad since my truck don't start and I don't hear it start. I do hear the relay click. the question is, I appears I have two pumps on my 87 2.9 if one goes out do they both quit, I've had problems with it stalling and not starting every time.

Hey yes you have two pumps one in the tank and one on the drivers frame rail. The pump on my 87 ranger quit all I had to do was change the pump on the frame rail not the in tank pump. Also just because you hear the relay clicking does not mean your getting power to the pumps. If you cannot hear a fuel pump at all you need to check for voltage at the pumps before you start throwing parts at it.
