Installed aftermarket headlights, ALL turn signals stopped working
I installed these halo/LED projector headlights last night:
Spyder Auto | Ford Ranger 01-11 1PC Projector Headlights - LED Halo - LED ( Replaceable LEDs ) - Black - High H1 (Included) - Low H1 (Included) I experienced lengthy difficulty with the turn signals. The wire popped out that was pre-wired, and I couldnt figure out how to wire it back into the turn signal portion properly. My friend and I messed with it for at least two hours before realizing that even the rear turn signals werent working. We popped in the OEM turn signal and it wasn't working anymore either. This leads to my conclusion that it is not the aftermarket turn signals that aren't working, it's something wrong with my Ranger itself. I checked both the fuse box in the dash and under the hood, and they were all ok. I believe something got fried during installation... I probably shouldve disconnected the battery before installing the headlights. Lesson learned though. Thanks for any and all help. |
you may have fried the turn signal flasher
Grab a multi meter and check for voltage at the connector, then trace it back to the battery. Ie fuse flasher ect. Also check your bulbs, Are they working?
bulbs work.
turn signal and brake light voltage runs through the flasher relay
