Installing front factory mud flaps???

Installing front factory mud flaps???
Has anybody ever installed the front factory mud flaps? Should I remove this guard that is on the fender? I know I have to keep the thing underneath it to mount the flaps but should this guard come off?

Indeed you do have to remove this to install the front factory mud flaps. Looks great and was like they were always were there. Dunno why they didn't just put them on the 4x4 rangers right from the beginning..
