Just installed lift now brakes don't work properly

I just installed a spindle and shackle kit on my 07 ranger sport when I got it all said and done I jumped in the truck to take it for a spin and the abs light is on, the breaks work fine when going in a straight line but once I turn I have nothing, I have to pump the pedal 4 times to get it to stop, I looked over the lines and there's no leaks or pinches , my only concern is those sensors that mount in the spindles the after market spindles wouldn't allow them so I zip tied them up, any suggestions? Could it just be those sensors behind the rotors? Has anyone else had this issue?

Those sensors are your abs sensors... which will be why your light is on. They need to be able to read the tone ring on the back of the rotor to know how fast each wheel is turning.

Did you put the steering stops in? If not, when you turn you won't have brakes.

not true, i ground off my steering stops.

The issue is your abs sensors. they MUST be in the spindles. also be sure to space them with a washer on the bolt, otherwise the rotor will remove them forcefully. if your spindles dont have a spot for them, take them off and send they back, because they are the wrong spindles. let me take a shot in the dark and say you bought pro-comp or fabtech....

Hole for abs sensor:

Sensor installed and spaced properly:

also after about 500 miles, re torque EVERYTHING.

Ok that makes sense now there is a spot for them but they will hit that tone ring thing I'm gonna have to figure out a way to mount them and yes the spindles are made by fab tech

Well I got the sensors in there was a spot but it wasn't threaded like the oem I had to run a longer bolt I also had to drop my brake line I noticed at full lock it was maxed out it probley wasn't that big of a deal if I didn't have my torsion bars maxed out I'll post some pics shortly after i get back outside , I need some 35"s for sure and I don't even have a body lift on there yet

ABS sensors wouldn't do it, i ran my truck without them for a bit, when you're turning the spindle is actually hitting the calliper and killing the brakes. although I recommend sensors ASAP, I had about a week or two without sensors.

Weird then cuz someone hit a bus while turning due to the lack of steering stops and now he has no valence lol

It was the steering stops that caused the brakes to not work so I hacked them off and I'm back in running order the abs light is still on tho and the sensors are installed I mite bring it to the dealer and see what they think
