Alarm
Ok guys.
I have an 02 that has manuel locks and windows. I have heard of people putting alarm systems on their trucks with the same set up that I have. They also have them with power locks that are controlled my a remote only. So in other words you can use your alarm button to unlock/lock the doors.
What do I need to have this set up. I know I need door actuators (spelling).
What kind of alarm as well.

plus an alarm, i would go with a code alarm, but thats just my personal preference.
some alarm systems come setup for 2-wire actuators others have two wires that are both positives, lock and unlock, in that case you will need the relay, unless you go with a 3-wire actuator, them are a little harder to find.

the kit you posted seems to be a great buy.. looks like everything you need... CarToys fixed me up right tho.. Clifford Arrow5 2 door system with trunk unlock (if i wanted a tailgate lock) for 350 installed.. 6 tone siren and door actuators that they linked directly to my remote such that pressing the lock function locks the doors and initiates alarm monitoring.. unlock key disengages alarm monitoring and unlocks doors..
i also took some plastic plates and a torch and melted the little plate on the actuator at an angle (ill get some pics) so that a thief using a slimjim, coathanger, etc. could not unlock the door... when he slides the slimjim straight down to the lock, he wont be able to hook the lock cuz the slimjim wil hit the plastic and slide off... i tried it and it works, pretty proud of myself on that one
