Key In Ignition Chime Always On
Hi guys this is my first post.
I just replaced my clock spring to fix my airbag not working on my drivers side. It worked and the airbag light went away but now my truck acts like the key is always in the ignition. Whenever I open the door it chimes like the key is in the ignition. The bad part about this is it doesn't remind me if I left my lights on, I nearly drained my battery down all the way yesterday...
I know it is related to this piece which has a contact that goes inside the ignition:

When I have this piece out the chime acts like the key is never in the ignition and the chime for the lights works but if I put this piece in then the chime acts like the key is always in the ignition.
Am I putting this piece in the correct way? Ideally I could fix it so it works like it did before I replace the clock spring. Anyone have any ideas?
