'02 XLT lost it's mind...

After rebuilding the 5R55E transmission, things went goofy..removed the trans last monday night..and not having a "starter button" and the of course, removal of starter, for the trans r&r..the battery was un-hooked all week...i had the abs and od light flashing on test drive to to mention trans went into "limp home"...all the usual, it's late i'm tired of messing with etc, so un-hooked battery again and left. went back today and after a couple good friends gave some ideas..all is good now..if you un-hook battery for a week, the ECU will literally "lose it's mind"..

the fix....doors closed, windows down, p-brake set trans in park...hook up battery, turn key on..NOTHING else for 20-30 min..then start engine and let run until up to temp...all is fixed.
