Master Cylinder Fitment

Hello, I'm pretty sure my truck needs a master cylinder as sometimes my brakes work and sometimes they dont, the feel soft and I've bleed the **** out of them.
anyway I dont want to just throw parts at it and I am a cheapskate but i have a new in box master cylinder for a 1994 4.0 auto. Will this work on my 1997 2.3 manual?

Doesn't look like it, using Rock Auto as a guide.
90-94 is one part number
95-97 is a different part number
