more light output
I personally think Rangers lights suck at night. I am looking to improve the output of the headlights and adding some AUX lights. I have ordered some rigid industries dually's but have no time to even open the damn box. looking to upgrade the head lights and get some more out put with out breaking the bank.
Please post pics and what you are running please

light output! tint doesn't effect the light output
Yea i still have them in a box, the police up here don't like them too much. I have PIAA bulbs now and i hate them i thought they would be brighter but i guess not. The only difference is they have more white to them

watch for group buys on theretrofitsource, if you can afford $180.00 LED duallies you can swing 220-320 for a projector retrofit. you could even sell the LEDs to finance the swap.
if you want light output done right you will have to make it a priority. Projectors are fairly easy and cheap. they will give you all the light output you can dream of when your done. With my high beams on on the projectors you can barely tell a difference when I turn on my 100w daylighters.

Old School Fix - One way to help is add a more direct power line to the headlights with larger than OEM Wiring.
Setup a new circuit for each beam level, use the existing high/low wiring to activate the new relays and run a new fused 10-ga power wire.
Then add in 100/65 Watt headlight.
Also, run new grounds in 10-ga back to the battery or to a negative stud near the battery, then to the battery.
2 Relays = $12 max
Wire = $10 max
Connectors = $5 max
The high side would be less than $30, is that as you said, "looking to upgrade the head lights and get some more out put with out breaking the bank”.

Here is what I am doing I just bought everything
-DDM Slim 55w High/Low 4500K (open housing)
-DDM Raptor 35w Fog 3000K (open housing)
-Dually's mounted in cross member area
Maybe a pair of 500FF on light tabs but not sure yet.
**For the tint I'll probably just replace the windshield (has a small crack in it) with a new one, since they are free anyways

Some states have a limit on the number of lights that can be on at one time, some even want the others covered.
Along with the relay mod for the headlights add a set of good quality Driving Light, hook them to come on with the headlights. Add an aux sw in the cab just in case you want/need to turn them off.
KC Slim Lights are good. Good Quality, 130 watts of lights and come in three patterns, Fog, Driving and Spot.
There you go add six of them up front, a set of each, lol.
There is a limit and by the way are these for on road use or off ?
Dave, do you have OEM Headlights or the blacked out aftermarket units ?

That pic of the truck looks good.
You can bend up some metal and make some Brackets that mount behind the bumper, maybe to the Tow Hook Bolts and then either mount a bar across or just have two lights.
As stated by others, two or four extra lights on the front will give you a lot of lights when you want to use them.
I am not sure what the lights you ordered look like but anything is better than nothing so mount them up, get them wired and wham Bam you have more light.
These lights you ordered, “dual beam”, what are they driving and spot beams all in the same unit ?
When I mounted four on my last truck I used two floods on the outside and two long range (spot beams) on the inside, it worked to get a lot of light in front and out further.
Luck and if you want some small switches, mini stuff I have a few extra floating around you can have if you need them, the small rocker type with either a PCB Mount or a small wire solder mount, no spade lug type.
AND are you still thinking on the Pioneer Silver CD6 ?
ltr
