Some things sticking
Ok i relplaced my Air control valve today becuase my truck was ideling way to freaking high it brought it down but now... when i'm driveing around it seems like it takes it for ever to get out and down the RPM range......Ok say your driveing and you start to down shift..you p[ull it out of 3rd to go to 2nd but when u pull it out the engine stays at that rpm for like 3 seconds and then drops slowly.....maybe it's just me but it feels funny and there is something sticking on my throttle spring or wire....anyclue how to fix this? i tooks the Throttle body off and sprayed some B-12 on the butter fly thing inside it and on the spring and lubed it up but it's still sticking some where

There is a "dashpot" function in the engine calibration that prevents rapid vacuum changes when the throttle is closed suddenly. The IAC flows some air before the throttle is closed and then, after it is closed, gradually reduces that flow to allow the engine RPM to come down slowly. This prevents the flash vaporization of any liquid fuel in the intake tract which could cause a hydrocarbon spike during the emission test. It is normal for the throttle to seem to hang a little bit during shifting or during an initial deceleration.

If it wasn't like that before maybe they put in a new calibration that changed things a little. But at any rate that is what the dashpot is for. It will be more noticable at higher RPM and heavier throttle. Dashpot is your friend, without it you could have stalling problems driving down the road.
