My D-Ring hitch receiver build.

I decided that since we haven't had jack to do at work. I was going to build myself a D-ring style receiver for my hitch.
Like the Smitty built ones, The only thing i'm going to order is the Smittybuilt D-ring and screw.
Pictures.
Test fit stage. this things got to be at least 15 pounds.

As it sits now. I need to wallow out the Hitch pin hole a little bit. it just fits inside and its kinda snug still.

This is the Ring i'm gonna get.

So. More pics to come later this weekend probably.

You wanna make me one? I'll reimburse you. I asked another member who makes them back in the day and never got a response. I just threw it in my receiver and took out the ball.

Yea forsure. I'll be back at work on the 28th, so i'll gather some stuff up in my spare time.
Then we could have a mini-meet or something too, so i won't need to ship it. cause its heavy.

the top most part is a solid steel block. it fits inside a 2" OD square tube. the rest is just nice steel. I took my time and did nice welds and everything.
ordered the ring about an hour ago, so it'll probably be two weeks before i get it.

Looks beefy for sure

just a side note, Keep that d ring lubed up with anti seize, those threaded ones are known to stick together and not come apart

My threaded pins have been out in the weather for a while now. I might have to pry them a little bit, but I mostly can get them free with my hands. So it shouldnt be a big deal unless you are in a lot of salt and grime maybe.
