doors always open / ajar

ok so they are shut good and it still says door ajar ... had to take the lights out the dome so i can drive when its dark.

Yet with the radio in accessory mode, the door chime isnt steady on which i figured would be the case

also my alarm with power door locks works as normal im guessing different sensors for the doors being shut on that cause if they are open it wont arm

any ideas?

Mine did that the other day, but I kept opening/shutting the door and it finally went out and hasn't acted up since. If it does it again at least I'll know what to try!

It's a common issue with the Xcabs. The door latch sensors are located in the bottom of the Xcab doors and easy to replace. The WD40 is a bandaid fix, sooner or later they'll need to be replaced.

you cant replace just the switch. the switch/ latch and inner door handle come as an assembly. the switch is built into the door latch. when my truck first started doing the door ajar thing i replaced the latch assembly only to have the door ajar light come on a month later. i sprayed it with WD-40 and it hasnt come on since. that was 3 or 4 years ago.
