I have a quick question dealing with the blinker mod, i read the how to but still have a question.

I know you have to splice into the green wire on the blinker then connect to the black wire on the side marker,

do i have to cut the black wire and then connect or do i just splice into it and (don't cut).

 

Cut the wire, taping the harness side and connect the other end coming from the lamp to the green turn signal wire.

 

Just did this this mod. Super easy, cheap, and cool!! Took me about 40 min. I like to go slow with this kind of stuff. Wire colors are different for the 08's than what is mentioned in the how-to, but got through it.
