Picked up an '03 Ranger 3.0 4x2 manual trans with a bad engine. Completed the 3.0 engine swap this afternoon and have started the engine but I have one wire connection that I can't seem to find. Its a two pin connector with heat shielding on the wires. Wire colors are solid yellow and yellow with a red stripe. The wire seems to favor the passenger side of the engine bay.
Where can I find this pigtail connector for knock sensor. My 2003 Ranger edge 3.0 v6 has this knock sensor also.. Same. The wire shielding is melted before and after the heat foil covering. Can't find it anywhere. Most parts places say the 3.0 doesn't have a knock sensor. Can I splice the wires to fix? What size wire the yellow and yellow/ red stripe?
