So, I have zero experience with AC work, let alone electrical work. I have some experience with mechanical work, but I am not an expert. My 07 Ranger did not come with an AC system. I am wanting to save up and install it myself due to labor costs. First, I do not know if this helps unless someone has had the same vehicle, but based on the photos, do you think my truck is wired for AC, and I can simply install the parts? If not, do you think I could do so? I tried finding a video of the wire install, but I could not find what I was looking for. Lastly, do you think I would be able to install the system myself and how long would it take someone new to such? I have replaced water pumps, radiator, alternator, and the basics.
I found a single video on replacing the most of the AC parts for the truck. I was looking for one a little more detailed that included literally everything. Anyone come across such and have a link saved perchance?
your best bet would be to find a donor truck and swap everything over. Way back when you could get a dealer install kit from ford for a/c in trucks that did not have it from factory (my 98 has that kit on it) but that stopped around 2000-01 i believe
