touch batteries wire to ground wire for radio now happy I'm in
I was testing my radio out to try and get it to work and I decided in order to test to see if it was getting power I would touch the ground wire to the battery wire and not thinking about it at the time it was a really stupid mistake also because instead of having a fuse that being said what's the touch device together all of a sudden my blinkers and hazard stuff working my brake lights stop working but my drive lights work I don't like also stopped working by speedometer stopped working as well as an odometer but it is not a digital one and I believe that was everything I stopped working but I've checked the fuses and none of the fuses were blown for those so I can't figure out what had happened because all those things stop working all the time I mean I know why they start working I can't figure out how to do 1995 Ford Ranger XLT go drive 2.3 l four cylinder but yeah; did I fry the CPU?

sorry I was using voice to text. honestly I thought it added punctuation it's by itself automatically with your passes but that's not.
essentially what I was trying to say. was that I had attached the ground wire to the battery power wire from the radio.
when I did this all of the sudden my blinkers stopped working, my brake lights stopped working but not running lights, also my dome light stopped working, as well as my speedometer and my old dominator. none of those fuses were blown on the fuse box. so I'm not sure if the issue lies with the CPU maybe crying a resistor or capacitor or what else the issue might be

Yes, you more than likely blew a fuse, there are 2 used for Radio in 1995, seen here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...dio_Wiring.pdf
Both are in cab fuse box
29 is full time 12volt to keep clock and presets in memory
20 is the key on/off power for the radio to work
No, the "cpu" Computer is not blown
Check Fuse 2 in Engine Bay fuse box, 50 amp, it powers most cab fuse box fuses that are now not working
And yes, it was a stupid thing to do
12v test light $5
Volt/ohm meter $10

well you were right sure enough I went to go check the 50 amp maxi and it was blown heading to AutoZone right now to pick up another one to see if that solves most of the problems but even if I get my blinkers back and my brake lights I'm sure it will reduce the stress for myself and a lot of other drivers that are behind me
