No Electrical Power to Specific Places
1987 2.3L 5-speed 4x4
Hello all, Please bear with me, this will be the sixth electrical repair I've done to this truck in the last month. Previous owner liked to cut wires they thought were useless and patch others using twisted-on sound cable. Yesterday I made wiring repairs to two circuits, (1) the yellow ignition switch power supply wire on the DS fender and (2) the hot/neutral wires under the steering column for the horn (these had been cut by previous owner). Since then, my electrical systems have been glitching out. The truck starts and runs fine, but the radio, headlights, dome light and guage backlights won't turn on. Also, the horn still doesn't work. I kept on pulling the headlight knob to try and turn them on. I could periodically get some things to come on, like the dome light, radio, and backlights, but only for a slight second. Finally, everything stopped turning on altogether. What is the common denominator here? Is there a single wire or fuseable link, etc. that feeds all of these accessories? If so, where can it be found? Thanks for the help! |

Cab light does not come on when I open the doors, radio doesn't power on either. Not the headlight switch
