Non keyless entry to Keyless entry

I have manual locks. I want OEM keyless entry with the power locks.

Anyone do it before?

I searched, came up with mostly aftermarket alarm threads..

What all would I need? Do our cars have keyless entry modules? Where are they located in the car? Do ford explorer modules work? Wiring? Power door locks from a ranger? explorer?

Keep in mind, I want to keep it OEM.

Just drop in an alarm, you will get a discount on your insurance which in time will pay for itself.

You can use the factory door panels with an aftermarket keyless entry unit. There was a diagram posted on here a while back on how to do it, I'll try to dig it up.

I don't want aftermarket.

Not interested in having the lock buttons inside the vehicle. Just want to be able to unlock the doors from the outside without using the key.

I despise the way aftermarket keys look.

I am looking into doing mine soon. I have a remote start with the lock and unlock buttons, that make the truck beep and flash like it does do something, but obviously cant with no power locks. So I am going to start pulling it apart and to see what i have to work with and what i need to do.

I had an aftermarket alarm with remote installed when I first bought my truck. I had manual locks also. Later I took it back to the place who installed it and for $75 they installed the door acuators so that I would have keyless entry. I don't have the lock and unlock button instide but I don't care. All that ran me about $375 total.
