odometer swap

I'd like to swap out my existing cluster to a used one with a tach and have read here that it is a plug and play procedure. However, I'd like to swap out the old cluster odometer unit to the replacement cluster. Has anyone done this yet?
I do realize that it involves disassembling both clusters to do this, that is not a problem for me, but can it physically be accomplished?
Vehicle is a '00 Supercab 4X2 4.0 auto.
Thanks gang !

Swapping out the cluster that is, your tutorial is the bomb !
Wish I had checked it out a couple of years ago when I first got the replacement cluster from eBay. It's been sitting in my garage still in the box, but like a kid on Christmas morning, I immediately tore into it's odometer innards and probably broke something plastic, thats why it's been sitting.
But now, armed with your tutorial I am ready to tackle it again
BTW, things mechanical don't scare me, been wrenching for the past 30 years, still got a lot to learn yet.........
