I know there is someone out that is just dying to educate a dumb *** like me. I haven't been on this forum (06 November) for too very long. But in reading some of the threads I realize I know less about my truck and vehicles in general, than I thought (Hell...I didn't know what an OHC was until last week). I guess I'm a lot older than many of you...in my day we could overhaul a 283 with a screwdriver and a pair of channelocks. Not today. But I can build you a turbine engine with my eyes closed.

I have already been brought up to speed on tires, wheels, wheel offset and setback. But today I want to get some questions answered about lighting.

What is:

HID
halo
projector
angle eyes
ccfl tech
and any other definitions pertaining to lighting you might have?

When I get better lights (and there is coming the time I will) I'm sure I'll be asking more questions like what lights up when I turn on my Parking Lights on...What will happen when I turn the switch full on...What brand carries the best price, ease of installation, quality of product. What do I need to stay away from...What do I need to look for...who came first...you or my ex-wife?

I'm also open to any advice/explanations I can get...

So let me in on some of this information...

I mean...Dude...If you're just sittin' on your *** and perusing the internet on a Saturday night, chances are pretty good she done turned you down, right...and you ain't planning do anything but knock back a few brewski's, or roll a fatty, or enjoy an ice cold Coke. And this is an excellent opportunity to show your expertise and impress others with your knowledge by helping me out. By telling me what you know about automotive lighting. And if you can't dazzle us with your brilliance...we ain't goin' to throw you under the bus just because you can baffle us with your bullshit. And consider this...an opportunity like this...when all of the planets are aligned...when you have the chance to shine...when the entire civilized world thirsts for your sage wisdom...these factors and circumstances won't come together until...oh...at least...next week.
