well i helped at fellow member install his and he has an 01 edge.
I did the install the exact same way in my truck and i have a 98 xlt. I have a mustang dome light installed too...

Heres my problems, the dome light on the ohc does not come on like it should. and the compass is working but the temperature sensor reads 20 degrees differemt than it should. and it is on f and not c.

things that work....maplights, compass.

Is there a different way to wire these ohcs in my year truck?
Man i fell stupid.

So if the door is open the OHC lights are not on? But if the button is pressed they will come on? Sounds like the dome light wire is not getting to the OHC, where did you tap for power for the map wire and dome wire? My temp sensor read incorrect too, sometimes 3-15 degree off. I have a second senor I plan to try but not sure on that one yet.

 

I would double check and make sure all your wiring is correct.

Make sure that the temp sensor is not next to anything that puts off heat. It needs to be all by itself.

 

As Lord said, I'd check to make sure you wired it correctly.

I'd also look for a short - one of my temp wires got pinched when I reinstalled it after resoldering the circuit board and it made the temp read +20 degrees off.
