dim fog light?

I have an '05 level 2 with fog lights. The fog light on the passengers side has gone noticably dimmer then the other and it also works when it wants to. Also, if I wiggle the light behind the valence, it will go on and off. i tried replacing the light with a new one but it still does the same thing. Can anyone suggest to me what I should/could do to fix this??...thanks

Wiring. Sounds like bad connection in the plug perhaps or a bad ground. Probably has a ground wire since the valance is plastic and so is the light housing I believe, at least it appears to be plastic on my 2008.

If you wiggle the connection and the light goes on/off it's the connection, Maybe the contact in the connector were pushed too far back, maybe they're corroded.

dim fog light

If i wiggle the light from behind, it does go on/off. If I need a new connector, where can I pick one up or is there an easier solution to this problem??

Check www.fordparts.com and www.rockauto.com
I get most of my parts through either one. They have pretty decent prices.

Fog Light

according to the ford website, if I get just the harness, is will be $75!!! I can't think of anything else to check with this problem. The connector is a little corroded. if I pull the lamp out, is there a way to clean the harness connectors?

Glad I could help. Make sure you get some bulb grease to put on the end of the bulb before you plug it into the socket.

No bulb grease is why it got corroded in the first place. While your at this go ahead and grease up the other bulbs on the truck. And inspect your plugs while your at it.

Im assuming your out of bumper to bumper warranty.
