Westin Brushguard

Well guys i have always loved brushguards and for all those who think they add weight and reduce angle and all that BS I DONT CARE. The look is the most appealing thing to me. Well i am going to pick up this Westin Brushguard for 125 bucks. The guy might have taken a little less but he is meeting me a pretty good ways and I am getting it for less than he asked. Here it is.

If anyone has made some pretty strong brackets to use for one with this brushguard and a BL please send me pics or layouts of the brackets. Thanks

Nice find, Nathan... :)

I just picked one up, myself... the week before I did the BL! ...so, I need some brackets fabbed up as well. I am going to take the original brackets over to the metal fab shop in town and have 'em build me a new set of brackets to work with the BL kit. Do you have the original brackets that came with your brush guard?

You can use the original brackets, just cut 3" out of the middle, weld and gusset for strength.

Yep, I know that. ...but, I don't have a welder, and I figured if I had a new set of brackets made, it wouldn't be much more expensive than adjusting the old ones... and, if I ever decide to sell the brush guard, I won't be limited to selling it only to someone with a 3" BL...

yea, no kiddin on the scratches. thats what theyre made for, to put scratches/dents on it instead of your truck. i had one on my old z71 and the guy had hit 6 deer w/ it. lol. just 2 little dents that were at the bottom and a couple scratches. ran me 150. only thing i did like about em is that when i had my wreck and hit a tree it caused my airbag not to go off... and my seatbelt broke cuz its a chevy and i hit the steering wheel, which broke 3 ribs, and i busted my head on the windshield.
